The Arulmigu Badrakaliamman Temple is located in Mecheri and is dedicated to Goddess Badrakaliamman. Mecheri is a region surrounded by beautiful green meadows and the lake. The temple was built around 800 years ago. It is situated in the heart of the Mecheri town. The temple has wide corridors and mandapams surrounding it. Besides the main Rajagopuram, there are three others facing in three different directions. The temple facing north/ is situated in south -east direction in the heart of mechari town nearby Salem- Dharmapuri highway.There are wide corridors and mandapams surrounding the temple.Rajagopuram is main entrance to the temple. Besides this, there are three rajagopurams in three directions. If the devotees have dharsan on new moon days mecheri Bhadra Kaliamman will fulfill the wishes of the devotees. So more then 50 thousand devotees throng to and congregate in the temple and worship the deity.
