Ambabai Temple

Situated to the west of the village, the Ambabai temple has an enclosure on three sides and is built on elevated ground. Near the gabhara, there is a ling and a hole next to it. It is believed that a Brahman used to read pothi every morning at this temple and a snake used to give him a gold coin after listening to it. When the Brahman sent his son one day to read pothi, the son tried to hit the snake to take away its entire stock of mohars. But he missed and the snake disappeared never to reappear again. An idol of Ganapati decorates the gabhara lintel and images of deities carved out of blocks of stone are present on either side. The statue of Ambabai is carved in a way that the Goddess is sitting on a lotus.
