The Adhivaraha Perumal Temple is located in Kumbakonam and is dedicated to God Adhivaraha Perumal. Varaha Theertham is found outside the temple. In the front hall (mandap) there are Nikamanda Mahadesikan (one of the Acharyas of Sri Vaishnavism) Vishvaksenar shrines. The Adhikumbeswarar temple, Sarangapani and Chakrapani temples are close by. This temple God is a Varaha Salagramam moorthy. This temple is based on the Varaha avatar of the God where he rescues Mother Earth from the demon Hiranyasura after taking the form of a divine swine with a horn on his nose. In the corridor is the Tulsi madam and the Nagar is installed here.
