The Sri Tirutani Murugan Temple is dedicated to God Muruga. The hill has 365 steps, symbolising 365 days of the year.This temple is one among the Aru Padaiveedu's of God Muruga. ie. the fifth Padaiveedu. Thai Poosam and Panguni Uthiram celebrations are major celebrations here. This was where Subramanya stayed after killing Surapadman.Tiruttani is said to be the spot where the God Subramanya wedded Valli - one of his two consorts.
