Shashthi Shraddha

Day six of the waning phase of the moon of the Bhadrapada Month of the lunar calendar or Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha Sashti is observed as Sashti Shraddha. According to North Indian Purnimant Calenders, Sashti Shraddha falls in the month of Ashwin. Shashthi Shraddha is completed for those dead family members who died on Shashthi Tithi, as well as both Shukla and Krishna Paksha Shashthi. Shashthi Shraddha is also recognized as Chhath Shraddha.
