Magha Amavasya

Amavasya or a new Moon day is the start of the new lunar month. It is a religious day when people keep fast. Any Sadhana performed on this day, produces very fruitful impact. All Amavasya days are appropriate to perform Shraddha rituals to appease ancestors. Amavasya day is also appropriate day to perform Kalasarpa Dosha puja.
