Kajari Teej

The festival of Teej comes four times a year, and this one is known as Kajari Teej. According to the Hindu calendar, Kajari Teej is celebrated on the third day of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the Hindu month of Bhadrapada. Kajari Teej is also known by the names like Kajli Teej and Badi Teej. Among all other Teej days, the occasion of Kajari Teej is considered the most important for women. On Teej, it is customary for married women to keep fast (Teej Vrat) and pray for the longevity of their husbands, while yet-to-be married maidens observe Teej Vrat to get desired life-partners.
