Jayaparvati Vrat Ends

The fast ends on the ‘Krishna Paksha Tritiya’ (3rd day of the waning phase of moon) in the ‘Ashada’ month. The Jaya Parvati Vrat is dedicated to worshipping God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Women, especially in the state of Gujarat and western regions of India, perform this vrat with full devotion and dedication for the prosperity, peace and welfare of their families. On the fifth day of the vrat, there is also a ritual to keep vigil all night, and it is popularly known as ‘Jaya Parvati Vrat Jagran’.
