Nigarili Chola Vinnagar Azhvaar temple is a God Vishu's Temple located at a distance of 1 kilometer from North of Cheran Maha Devi (Tirunelveli-Tenkasi rail course) bus stand at the foot of the Western Ghats. It is built near the green paddy fields. A 1000 years old antiquated temple has its details in Chola and Pandya Period inscriptions. The Three layer Aadhi Narayanan Ramaswamy Temple,in a 10th Century A.D. engravings is celebrated as the Nigarili Chola Vinnagar Azhvaar sanctuary and whose deity was alluded to as Raghava Chakravarti in a 1020 A.D. Rajendra I period engraving, that right now is in a decaying condition with bats being the only tenants of the dull prakaras in row 1 and 2. This temple has a 3 layered Vimana. It is said that individuals from Cheran Maha Devi used to gather here for a shower at this stream on this day.
