There is a Muruga temple located at Chennai Dindivanam highway, near Perumper Kandigai. Lord Muruga is seen on a small mountain, with his spouse Valli.  It is believed that he had rested here after the war with the Demon King Surapadman. The Lord here has 6 faces and 12 hands.  A chatru samhara Yantra is inscribed opposite to the shrine of Lord Muruga. It is a popular belief that the devotees’ wishes are fulfilled if they perform abhisheka with 6 varieties of fruits and 6 variety of Prasadam.
